85% Referrals, 100% Gratitude, & A Top Summer Travel Reminder
Greetings Wanderers,
The other day, I had one of those conversations that sticks with you. I was chatting with someone new about how I got started in this business, swapping stories and mutual connections, and reflecting on the role that referrals have played in growing Clemente Travels. Later that night, curiosity got the best of me, so I pulled up my tracking spreadsheet (yes, I’m a proud spreadsheet nerd).
What I found floored me: 85% of my booked trips have come directly from client referrals. That doesn’t even include all the wonderful inquiries that didn’t make it quite to the finish line!
Nearly three years ago, I asked many of you to take a leap of faith with me, and you did. A little over a year ago, I launched my referral program, and once again, you showed up. You told your friends, coworkers, yoga instructors, and your sister’s best friend. And because of that, here I am, still building, still loving it, and feeling incredibly grateful.
So today, I just want to say:
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
This community means the world to me.
And of course, I wouldn’t write without including something useful too, so let’s dive into a few fun updates and travel tips.
Fun Stats From the Travel Desk
I've planned trips to 50+ destinations across 5 continents
(Yes, Caribbean cruises count as one on this!)Italy is this year’s top destination—over 10% of current trips are heading there.
Caribbean cruises are close behind, beach lovers, I see you.
Rounding out the top five: Ireland, Scotland, and England.
Still waiting for my first Antarctica expedition client… putting that out into the universe.
Summer Travel Tip: Are You Real ID Ready?
Look for the star!
The U.S. Real ID deadline was May 7, 2025. Starting then, you’ll need a Real ID-compliant driver’s license or another TSA-approved form of identification to board domestic flights.
Not sure if your ID qualifies? Check now so you're not scrambling later.
Pro tip: Your passport always works, even for domestic travel.
Destination to Watch: Genoa, Italy
We all love Venice, Florence, and Rome, but if you’re craving Italy with a little more breathing room, Genoa is a gem.
Tucked along the Ligurian coast, this historic port city is packed with winding alleyways, grand palaces, and some of the best seafood you’ll ever taste. Bonus? It’s just a short hop from Cinque Terre, perfect for a dreamy beach day.
Looking Ahead to 2025?
Whether you’re dreaming of a honeymoon, family getaway, girls’ trip, or a big bucket-list adventure, 2025 dates are already booking up, especially summer and fall.
If you’re thinking about travel next year, let’s talk now so we can get ahead of the crowds and craft something magical.
To everyone who’s traveled with me, referred someone, or simply followed along, thank you.
This business exists because of you, and I don’t take that lightly.
With so much gratitude,
Hannah
